Blagoevgrad celebrates 169 years since the birth of Georgi Izmirliev

By laying wreaths and flowers the Blagoevgrad public celebrated 169 years since the birth of Georgi Izmirliev. The ritual took place today, at 10:30 am, in front of the bust-monument of the revolutionary on Georgi Izmirliev Square in Blagoevgrad.

In a short speech Atanaska Kovacheva, Chief Expert of the Culture Department at Blagoevgrad Municipality, recalled the life and work of the Bulgarian revolutionary.
