From Bob Miller in Crystal Lake: My daughter and granddaughters need an escape from being indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I supply them with colored chalk and snacks. They escape to my driveway and we keep our social distancing. Mia, 8, and Lyla, 4, work with their mom, Kari, and write messages and draw colorful scenes that can be viewed by the many families and walkers that pass our driveway on their way to Lippold Park. The girls return and make new artwork after each rain, and they have decorated neighbors' driveways, too. My next-door neighbor came out with tears in her eyes when she saw her driveway art.
